José Pérez IV is a fight & intimacy director, cultural competency consultant, actor, playwright, and teacher. Resident Fight & Intimacy Director of Pittsburgh Public Theater. Artistic Director of Big Storm Performance Company in Pittsburgh, PA. José is interested in making new, exciting works of theatre. He prioritizes mental health and safety within the rehearsal process. He also specializes in unconventional modes: fight theatre, dance theatre, interactive, site-specific. His work has been seen at such NYC venues as Times Square Arts Center, Galapagos Arts Space, HERE Arts Center, Joe's Pub, The Ohio Theater, and Theater for the New City.
